I have written essays about my brief stint as a helicopter mom for The New York Times Magazine; reviewed rolling pins, photo printers and travel umbrellas for The Wall Street Journal; penned dozens of stories about neurology and the brain for AARP, covered the plight of shelter dogs for Parade and Good Housekeeping as well as everything you wanted to know (and maybe didn\'t want to know) about health for WebMD. A long time contributor to Parents magazine in New York, I have also written profiles of physicians with interesting hobbies for MedPage Today, features on new research and physician professional development for The Rheumatologist and ENTtoday and I co-authored a book, LSU in the Eye of the Storm; A University Model for Disaster Response (LSU Press) in the days after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. I also cover conferences, write and edit newsletters, white papers, case statements, quarterly and annual reports, brand manifestos and corporate narratives. My clients have included Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, nonprofits, and universities. My current projects include writing and editing B2B tech, industrial and marketing case statements and white papers as well as ghostwriting thought leadership pieces. I have also recently begun course work for a masters degree in counseling and have written for the American Counseling Association’s publication, Counseling Today.
