About Renee A. Rattray Ed. D.
Dr. Renée Rattray is a systems thinker, education thought leader and activist. Her career and breath of work has been anchored in dismantling systems of inequity and creating safe, loving, innovative and inclusive spaces for all. As the CEO of Teach Good LeadGood, she fosters an environment where educators can flourish authentically. Alongside this role, she co-leads initiatives like Science Genius Jamaica. Currently, Dr. Rattray serves as a Lead Education Consultant at the XQ Institute in Washington DC. Beginning her journey as a Special Education Teacher, she later assumed leadership roles including Principal at St Andrew Preparatory School in Kingston, Jamaica. Dr. Rattray spent a decade as the Director of Education Programs at the Jamaica National Group, championing transformative education initiatives such as the iLead program - a distinct private-public partnership targeted at developing leadership and initiating transformation in Jamaican schools, that had been cited as most in need of support by the National Education Inspectorate. Dr. Rattray’s broad background and scholarship positions her to share with authority on a wide range of topics within the educational sector from both a local and international perspective. Her expansive expertise extends beyond borders; she has collaborated with UNICEF Jamaica to engage Jamaican youth and canvas their views on how they wished to reimagine Education, excerpts of which were included in Jamaica’s Education Transformation Report 2021. Dr. Rattray was selected as Jamaica’s representative to the International Women’s Forum Fellowship 20••••22. She maintains professional involvement as a member of several public and private sector boards including, Jamaica College, Multi-care Youth Foundation, St. Joseph\'s Teachers\' College, The American International School of Kingston, Creative Language-Based Learning and Khalé Journey. Her life’s mission is to ensure the highest possible good for every child, every classroom, every school and every community.
