About Renato Guida
As a Political Science major at Hudson Valley Community College, I focus on the intersection of global labor, governance, and international policy. My academic work and leadership roles reflect a commitment to understanding how institutions, economies, and people interact across local and global systems.I currently serve as Director of Student Voices in the SUNY Student Assembly Presidential Cabinet, representing 1.3 million students across 64 campuses and engaging in systemwide policy, communication, and governance. On campus, I also lead the Entrepreneurs Club and serve as Vice President of the Investment Club, roles that have strengthened my skills in organizational leadership, economic analysis, and strategic decision-making.Beyond campus, I serve on the Board of Directors of the International Center of the Capital Region, working directly with U.S. Department of State programs such as IVLP and Open World to support international exchange, youth engagement, and initiatives related to immigrant workforce development. I also bring experience from the New York State Assembly, contributing to public service and policy-focused work at the state level.Previously, I founded Monaciello Limoncello, an entrepreneurial venture rooted in tradition, and gained hands-on experience in construction, housing, and property operations—work that grounded my understanding of labor, responsibility, and the realities communities face.Driven by a global and human-centered perspective, I aim to continue studying and engaging with the systems that shape work, policy, and opportunity, and to contribute meaningfully to institutions that serve diverse communities.
