ABOUT RENATA CARDOSO
Solid leadership experience in Sustainability, ESG, Decarbonization Management and Strategic Planning. I understand the challenges facing complex industries, such mining & metals, as well as global ESG trends and requirements.I\'m in charge of developing the ESG credentials for Electra, positioning the company as an ethical and low carbon player in the fast-growing electric vehicles supply chain in North America. I\'ve led the team that positioned Vale as the #1 mining company on climate change management transparency in the 2011 Carbon Disclosure Project (now CDP), and #1 among all companies in Latin America in 2012. I\'m driven by knowledge and thrive on comprehensive approaches to corporate problems. I perceive companies as part of the solutions. My team and I have positioned the company as one of the leaders at BOVESPA\'s Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) and Carbon Efficient Index (ICO2), by updating its global policies to include the commitment to several stakeholders demands.I\'ve represented the company in international forums such as the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) and United Nations Global Compact LEAD, as well as in Brazilian forums, such as the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS) and Instituto Ethos. Some of my accomplishments through the years: I was among the leaders who\'ve created the sustainability department; led cross-functional teams, coached and led 30+ people. I\'ve become a conferences speaker for topics such as ESG, Climate Change, mining and metals, electric vehicles supply chain, women leaders and others. Some recent events: Energy and Mines Toronto (2022), Women in Mining (2023), Battery Minerals & Supply Chain (2023), CIM (2023), IICSR (2023), Future Bridge (2023), Rockwell Automation Fair (2022).I thrive on innovative challenges, as the creation of the blog Sustentabilidade em Pauta that became a highly accessed Facebook page in Brazil. These are the great schools that I\'ve attended: Economics Degree from UFRJ, Brazil. MBA from COPPEAD (UFRJ), with exchange program at Manchester Business School (UK). In 2018 I attended Rotman School of Management\'s executive program Back to Work - Initiative for Women in Business.
