Growing Georgia Rivers into the leader for protecting our rivers and the right to float them capacity building of watershed groups, Rena is advocating for water trails protection & public access as transformative collaboration organizer. As Georgia’s only non-profit conservation organization protecting rivers statewide, Georgia Rivers runs the state’s Georgia Water Trail Network and is the fiscal sponsor for the Georgia Water Coalition, Okefenokee Protection Alliance and Georgia Outdoor Recreation Coalition.Key Accountabilities- Facilitate Georgians to connect with, experience and advocate for healthy rivers- Leadership of the operations, serving as the spokesperson for the organization, and developing, implementing and resourcing strategic goals mutually agreed upon by the Board of Trustees.Key Accomplishments- Strategically increased hard-income and philanthropic revenue- Completed the rebranding of the organization as a leader in river recreation and conservation.
