About Ren Davidson
Passionate about connecting with people to imagine optimal food and waste systems that center ecological sustainability and access. I have been working in direct-to-consumer fresh mushroom sales at Farmer’s Markets in San Francisco, Oakland, and Palo Alto for the past 2 years. Through these long and consistent days, I have developed first-hand knowledge of how people are currently engaging with food systems - from fad-oriented customers curious about the components of mushroom coffee to long-standing patrons who purchase regularly through EBT. Since adolescence, I have been in pursuit of a life path oriented towards equity. In recent years, I have pivoted from my initial training in law, development, and communications, to food service positions that focus on engaging directly with the communities I serve. I am eager now to learn about urban ecology, urban and industrial waste systems, and bioremediation especially mycoremediation as a way of combatting plastic waste.
