ABOUT REMY SANSANWAL

Remy is a criminal defence lawyer and associate at Weisberg Law Criminal Lawyers. Prior to joining his current firm, Remy worked as an associate at another well-respected criminal law firm in downtown Toronto. He has conducted a variety of matters ranging from regulatory charges to serious criminal offences. Mr. Sansanwal has successfully defended clients at trial in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.Remy graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and also obtained an American law degree from Michigan State University College of Law. Prior to completing his legal education, Mr. Sansanwal completed a Master of Arts in political science from the University of Western Ontario and obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Toronto. While in law school, Mr. Sansanwal participated in the 2020 Arnup Cup and won the Second Overall Team Prize in the 2020 Walsh Negotiation Competition after having placed first in the 2019 BLG Negotiation Competition. In addition to his competitive mooting experiences, Mr. Sansanwal was a Research Fellow at the Refugee Hub and an Assistant Editor on the Ottawa Law Review. While at MSU Law, Remy was a student clinician at the Immigration Law Clinic.Remy is devoted to advocating for and advancing the rights of his clients to ensure the best possible results.
