Maintain property-specific general ledgers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled• Perform month-end close procedures, including but not limited create and post journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, perform GL account reconciliations, create and post monthly property expense accruals, variance analyses, and other month-end procedures as needed• Perform daily activities such as create batches for tenant receipts, review and post tenant billing adjustments, review and post prepayment applications to open charges, review and approve invoices• Monitor and maintain cash balances daily, review payables ensuring that vendor invoices are processed for payment as needed• Provide oversight and direction to 3rd party property accounting teamsFinancial reporting:• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting package including balance sheet, income statement, supporting schedules and other reports as needed for each managed property• Review 3rd party provided monthly financial statements and supporting schedulesBudget and Forecasting• Participate in the annual budget process and quarterly current year reforecasting for the responsible assets• Monitor actual performance against budgeted expectationsTeam Collaboration• Ensure timely response to all requests from property managers, asset managers and other departments in relation to any property accounting questions or issuesProcess improvement• Continuously evaluate and enhance property accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve data quality• Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
