About Remi Moncel

I am an attorney focused on international law, sustainability, corporate due diligence, and human rights. I currently serve as Senior Counsel in the World Bank\'s Environmental and International Law Unit. In this role, I advise the World Bank and its member countries on the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework, international environmental conventions, environmental governance, and the resolution of disputes in domestic courts, international courts, and before independent accountability mechanisms. Prior to this, I practiced law at the international law firm O\'Melveny, clerked for a U.S. District Court, was an Advisor for Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), and was a Senior Associate at the World Resources Institute, where I led the Institute’s participation in the negotiations at the U.N.
