Oversee large-scale procurement for key private and public sector partners to increase grain exports to reach the global market through the Danube River ports, road, and rail border crossing points on the $325 million USAID funded Ukraine Economic Resilience Activity. The two main objectives are to triple Ukraine’s exports by improving the capacity and efficiency of Ukraine\'s western borders with Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia by renovating and reconstructing border crossing checkpoints.

ABOUT REKHA LAL
With more than 25 years of international development experience overseeing complex USAID-funded project operations, Ms. Lal has designed and implemented financial management and operational activities on multiple field projects. She has worked over ten years in Africa and seven years in Asia. Serving in progressively senior leadership roles, Ms. Lal demonstrated her capacity in preparing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets and forecasts, supporting project start-up/close-down, establishing operational systems and processes, designing procedures for and managing grants-under-contract (GUC), procurement/subcontracts and overseeing operations across multiple project sites. Throughout her career, Ms. Lal has employed solution-oriented approaches to operations management and brings demonstrated expertise in delivering multiple activities in high-pressure work environments. Recently she served as the Director of Operations for the $56 million USAID-funded Local Governance and Civil Society project in Libya, overseeing procurements and subcontracts administration, human resources management, and logistics for this local governance project. Earlier Ms. Lal served as a Deputy Chief of Party on the $46.2 million Lebanon Industry Value Chain Development project, where she oversaw the delivery of last-minute required activities and smooth closedown of the project.
