About Rejoice Madembo

I am a scholar and innovator focused on advancing global health through science, research, and service. My work is driven by a commitment to improving access to equitable healthcare and addressing the structural gaps that shape health outcomes, particularly in underserved communities.I approach this through a strong foundation in biochemistry and molecular biology, with an interest in understanding disease at the molecular level and translating that knowledge into practical, evidence based solutions for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. I am especially interested in how scientific innovation can be applied in low resource settings to improve healthcare accessibility and delivery.Beyond academics, I extend this commitment into community centered work. As the founder of Kurera, a nonprofit focused on health and educational empowerment in Zimbabwe, I use science and education as tools for impact. I have been recognized by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of Zimbabwe for my leadership as a robotics coach and mentor, and I co founded a school that promotes inclusivity, creativity, and future ready skills. These experiences have shaped how I approach healthcare, not just as treatment, but as access, education, and equity. My interests also include biomedical innovation, coding, and robotics, particularly where they intersect with healthcare. I am drawn to solutions that improve diagnostics, strengthen research capacity, and expand access to care in resource constrained settings.I am currently on the pre medical track, with the goal of becoming a physician who integrates scientific knowledge with a global health perspective to improve patient outcomes and address systemic inequities.I am also committed to expanding access to STEM and promoting gender equity in science and medicine. I believe meaningful progress in healthcare requires both innovation and accountability, grounded in the communities it serves.I am always open to connecting with others working at the intersection of science, medicine, and global impact.#GlobalHealth #PreMed #Biochemistry #MolecularBiology #HealthcareEquity #STEM #Innovation #Leadership #SocialImpact
