About Reid Spencer
I founded Ossum Inc. to focus on my passion: efficiently building large, impactful software systems. I am a strong advocate for efficiency and effectiveness. My approach is to drive human and machine performance, surpassing the software industry\'s high standards. It is not just about the execution performance of the software, although that\'s important, but also about making the creation of software systems highly efficient. I have been a technical leader in most roles over the past 25 years, involving several startups. At Improving Ottawa, starting in 2019, I led the Technology Office to help clients spearhead innovative solutions that bridge the gap between complex technical challenges and strategic business objectives. I look forward to doing the same for Ossum\'s clients. I\'ve joined forces with my son, James Spencer, a UI Architect, to create Ossum Inc. and provide software development services and tools. Ossum\'s mission is to (a) eliminate the drudgery of software creation,(b) replace textual coding with a principled visual design system,(c) use the most reliable technologies as our foundation, and (d) bring back the fun to the process of software creation.
