About Reid Weber
I’m an entrepreneur and software engineer with background in the sports and fitness technology and gaming industries. I have built companies, teams and software to help endurance athletes train effectively. I run a lot and love to bike and do triathlon as well. I joined with the founder of The Sufferfest in 2015 to create The Sufferfest Training System. In 2019, we sold The Sufferfest to Wahoo Fitness. After the acquisition, I continued to build and manage the software development organization for Training Services for Wahoo. My teams built and launched Wahoo SYSTM in the Fall of 2021 and continue to deliver features on the platform every few weeks. I also was on the innovation team, responsible for exploring new products and business opportunities. I co-founded the cycling software company, TrainerRoad, in 2010 and have spent the last 5 years working to build it into the leading solution for indoor cycling software. At TrainerRoad, I worked in almost all areas of the business including software, marketing, design, strategy, customer support and business development. Most recently I worked with the team to design and build our iOS app, which we wrote in C# using Xamarin.I loved working at TrainerRoad because it allowed me to create a tool that helped people live a healthy lifestyle. My passion is to create a company that every employee loves to work for because they get to work with smart people on projects that matter. And with the flexibility to work remotely and enjoy a great work-family life balance. I grew up in Reno, NV and graduated in 3 years from the University of Nevada-Reno with a degree in Computer Science. I’ve done some work toward a Masters in Computer Science including studies in compilers, evolutionary computing, and computer vision.
