About Reid Watkins
Within one semester of taking a journalism class at Normal Community High School, I earned the role of sports editor for the school\'s student news organization, the NCHS Inkspot. After three semesters as a general communications major at Grand Canyon University, I transfered home to study journalism at Illinois State University.I returned to the Vidette, ISU\'s now fully digital student news organization, where I completed an internship through a program for seniors at NCHS. After spending the 2022 spring semester as a sports reporter, I was hired as sports editor. I am looking for valuable professional experience through internship opportunities over the upcoming summer. While the majority of my experience is in writing, I am also interested in broadcast journalism and excited to learn everything I can about either field.
