ABOUT REID WARNER

Currently, I work as a freelance director for the hit HGTV shows House Hunters International and House Hunters Off the Grid. My most recent episode,\"Shredding Montana’s Backcountry\", was the highest rated show on HGTV last week with 1.7 million viewers. I am a New York Conservatory classically trained actor. I have worked in network TV, the theater and most recently as the lead in the Paramount movie, Area 51, released this spring. My acting experience has helped me become a better story teller and I believe a stronger director. I am also a trained journalist and have been a reporter for the NBC affiliate KOMU-TV8 in Columbia, MO. Working in TV news strengthened my ability to jump into a totally new, unfamiliar situation and find and follow the story on the fly. Things change constantly when you are shooting in the field, so I rely on the skills and techniques that I learned as a broadcast journalist to help me see what is happening in that moment that will be of interest to the viewing audience. Whether I am making a docu-reality TV show, or shooting a movie, my ability to be flexible and improvise during the shoot are why I believe I deliver stronger and more unique programs.
