   Reid practices in the firm\'s Litigation section specializing in financial services litigation. Reid represents consumer finance and mortgage companies throughout the country. Reid has defended his clients in single plaintiff cases, as well as mass actions and class actions filed by consumers. These complaints involve causes of actions that include violations of the Truth in Lending Act, Home Ownership Equity Protection Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Real Estate Settlement Practices Act, as well as other predatory lending causes of action such as loan flipping, insurance packing and violation of various State Unfair Practices Acts. Reid also represents mortgage companies and correspondent lenders in repurchase and/or make-whole disputes as well as litigating mortgage fraud cases. He also has experience handling commercial cases, as well as intellectual property litigation. Reid is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (\"FDCC\"). The FDCC is composed of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction. The FDCC is dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members as they pursue the course of a balanced justice system and represent those in need of a defense in civil lawsuits. Reid currently serves as Vice Chair of the Projects and Objectives Committee and is a member of the Admissions Reid also serves of the Program Chair for the FDCC\'s Corporate Counsel Symposium, which is a seminar designed for corporate in-house counsel. In addition, he is a fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, an association of attorneys from the United States and Canada who are highly skilled and experienced in the preparation of real estate mortgages, lending transactions secured by real estate, and related practices.
