Working as part of the Security Incident Response team. The role is responsible for responding to and investigating events generated by security controls. Ensure that security incidents are identified, contained and eradicated, working closely with IT, security partners, and the wider business to do so. Monitor SIEM and other security controls to identify potential threats and use all of the controls and resources to determine what steps need to be taken to eradicate threats. Ensure that any forensic evidence is correctly captured and stored. Identify opportunities to improve controls and processes, make recommendations for addressing any lessons learned, and implement where appropriate. Mentor inexperienced members of the team and maintain an awareness of the changing threat landscape.
