About Rehan Murad
After pursuing Masters in Finance from the University of Houston and winning several awards like the Outstanding Student Award, Dean’s Award of Excellence, Bauer Excellence Scholarship and the CFA Society of Houston Scholarship, I chose to join HP Inc. as a Portfolio Manager. I also served as the Portfolio Manager of Cougar Investment Fund which is a multi-million dollar private investment fund. I believe my biggest strength is my entrepreneurial spirit which involves problem-solving, paying attention to detail and having the ability to see the bigger picture. My core competencies include corporate finance and business strategy. I’m also proficient in technical tools like Excel, StatTools and PowerBi. My eclectic personality is a result of my diverse experiences in life. From starting to trade at the age of 12 to taking an year off after schooling to find ways of increasing the farmer’s productivity, I’ve dared to take the road not taken. The inquisitiveness to learn more and make an impact in society is of paramount importance to me and it is what drives me every single day in life. From bagging academic and achievement awards every single year in school to getting my startup idea reach the finalists of SRCC Business Conclave, 2016 is just a reflection of my determination and perseverance. From volunteering for Enactus to founding my own NGO Benevolence India, I’ve made sure I make my existence count. From fulfilling my passion for filmmaking by learning the art of filmmaking at India’s ranked one institute for mass communication research to traveling solo around the world after my graduation, it has only widened my horizon and enabled me to offer a rare perspective in every situation.
