WORK HISTORY
Scientist Ii @Xzom, Inc
San Diego, CA, US
Led protein-based biomarker discovery efforts for pancreatic cancer, designing and conducting experiments from exosomal sample isolation and particle characterization to discovery-based multiomics and multiplexing assays for biomarker identification. Designed and performed multiplex extracellular vesicle protein analyses using flow cytometry, ELISA, Western blot, and LUMINEX to establish orthogonal validation and benchmarking against the company’s OEM system, improving assay accuracy and performance. Worked on development of IVD assays for clinically relevant biomarkers by designing and executing experiments to establish limit of detection, develop assay buffers and workflows, improve selectivity, specificity, and signal-to-noise ratio, and support integration into the company’s single-use cartridge-based platform. Developed nucleic-acid-based staining methods to visualize and characterize the RNA and DNA content of exosomal samples, with ongoing efforts to integrate these methods into the company’s microfluidic platform for on-chip miRNA detection.
