Collect, analyze, and correlate security events and use discovered data to enable recommendation of mitigation of potential incidents within the enterprise • Identify events that pose a threat to the confidentiality, availability and integrity of information or systems that may be indicative of a violation of federal law. • Perform incident triage to include determining accuracy, scope, urgency, and impact• Provide incident coordination and updates to the Incident Response Teams (IRTs).• Notify management and other members of suspected incidents and articulate the event’s history, status, and potential impact.• Perform agency-wide event and incident tracking using ticket management system• Monitor computer Network using SIEM, IDS/IPS Technologies• Investigate security events and other cyber security incidents.• Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.• Document security gaps and provided recommendations on risk mitigation techniques.• Work with security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a low-cyber risk environment.• Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.• Installed security software and understand information security management.• Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
