ABOUT REGINA ESCOBEDO GUERRA
Regina Escobedo Guerra is a multidisciplinary artist with experience in the art world. She has worked at galleries such as kurimanzutto, David Zwirner, and Opera Gallery. She graduated with honors from New York University where she received her BFA in Studio Art and was chosen as the banner bearer. Regina is currently studying at Sotheby\'s Institute of Art where she will earn her Master\'s Degree in Art Business. Born and raised in Guadalajara Mexico, Regina’s work talks about her identity as a Mexican woman exposed to different places, specifically New York. Human connection and narrative lie at the center of her practice and through them, she addresses themes such as colonialism and its impact during modern day, self-identity, and finding peace and comfort. Her work has been exhibited in New York City and Guadalajara, Mexico. In addition, Regina’s first illustrated children’s book “Siente y canta con María Inés” can be found at every major bookstore in Mexico.
