About Reggie Huerta
Reggie is a vibrant and ambitious individual who enjoys staying current on latest tax policy and analyzing its effect. His interest in tax began in summer 2018 when he was invited to speak to members of the board of Genesys Works, a nonprofit organization of which he is a part. There, he was introduced to a senior level executive of a large U.S. multinational oil and gas company, where he was extended a tax internship on the spot. That summer, he focused on U.S. international tax amid heightened complexity post-2017 tax reform. This was the launch pad to his interest in tax. Fast-forward to spring 2022, he interned at our nation’s Capitol in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. with retired Ranking Member on Ways and Means. There, he developed a strong appreciation for tax law and its broader policy implication, recognizing that how a government taxes its citizens is a declaration of a country’s values.
