ABOUT REGENIA BROWN

I am privileged to serve as Chief People Officer for Magnolia Regional Health Center where I lead, develop, and manage a comprehensive human resources program aligned with Magnolia Regional Health Center\'s mission, vision and strategic plan. This includes providing leadership and vision to ensure effective operations that include employment, compensation (including salary administration and job evaluation), benefits, learning and development, performance management, workers compensation, employee assistance program, wellness program, employee health, and employee pharmacy. I have also managed contracted support services (Food and Nutrition and Environmental Services)Educational background includes my bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration from Faulkner University and Master\'s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Human Resources Management from Columbia Southern University. I maintain certification from both SHRM and HRCI as a senior professional in human resources.This past year I was selected to represent the State of Mississippi in Capitol Hill Advocacy Day sponsored by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). SHRM is a professional association for human resources with more than members nationwide. This initiative was designed to promote SHRM\'s set of guiding public policy principles to create the 21st Century Workplace.Professional membership include SHRM, ASHRRA, and MHA Human Resources Society. I currently serve on the board of directors for the MHA Human Resources Society. In 2015 I was awarded the Distinguished Human Resources Professional by the MHA HR Society. I am actively involved at First United Methodist Church where I serve on the PPR committee.I have been married to Dennis Brown for more than 40 years and we have one daughter, Dr. Amanda Comer. We also have two grandsons who are the joy of our life.
