Aerolamp uses far-UVC technology for air cleaning.Breathing in airborne pathogens makes us sick. Far-UVC is a special type of light that can kill pathogens before this happens.Surface and indoor UV light cleaning has been used for decades, but far-UVC is unique because scientists consider direct human exposure safe. Unlike other UV light, such as UVB in tanning beds that can cause skin and eye damage, UV cleaning with far-UVC does not deeply penetrate human skin. This means that Aerolamp\'s UVC cleaning can be used in occupied rooms where it can have the biggest effect on preventing the spread of germs between sick and healthy people.While remaining safe for exposure, far-UVC is still highly effective at killing pathogens like those that cause the common cold, the flu, and COVID. Researchers have shown a 99.5% reduction in coronaviruses within minutes.
