About Reese Heninger

Prior to entering into the academic world at a university level, I found fascination through the sciences. Entering into my freshman year at BYU Provo, the pre-med classes filled most of my schedule; however, I took one business class to fill an elective and broaden my understanding of business. Throughout the semester, it became clear that the Marriott School of Business is where I needed to fulfill my time and energy. I was far more passionate about the endless options at the business college, so I continued my path. Joining different clubs such as Women in Finance Club and the BYU Real Estate Association during freshman year I began narrowing my options to what seemed to fit my personality and skills the best. I was also able to attend many information sessions about marketing, experience design, accounting, entrepreneurship, etc, but finance seemed the most appealing to me by a great amount. Now, as a student in the BYU finance program, I find fulfillment in continuing to grow and expand my financial expertise. My goal is to find a career in this industry where my learning will proceed beyond the scope of my university education.
