TV Asia is the first South Asian TV network across North America that covers issues, concerns, happenings, current topics of Indian Americans as well as global significance-Launched the network in Bay Area; wore several hats to independently execute the programs-Started with few hours of raw content which is now more than 100 hours of programming per month with a team of interns, freelance reporters and camerapersons-Acquired new social impact programming (Chai with Manjula) and technology programming (TiE-TV series) adding fresh programming and revenue for the company-Produced content of inspirational and social impact stories, entrepreneurial journeys, artiste journeys, politico-economic issues, awareness programs, financial & business conferences, to a wide range of topics especially in the South Asian community here and in India. This necessitated interfacing with all levels of community, political and governmental leaderships and public in general-Provided administrative leadership for operations, overseeing the long term strategy including budgeting, forecasting and analysis-Spearheaded media partnerships and collaborations for TV Asia with the South Asian diaspora-Established branding and image building of TV Asia through innovative outreach strategies and creative programming-Resulted in increased viewership, ads and sponsorships in these new markets.
