As a strategic communication consultant, I have parachuted into a number of communication departments at UN agencies and international NGOs to lead the development of communication strategies, campaign content and research papers in collaboration with in-house and transnational teams. Assignments have varied in duration from six months to two years.They include:Arab Reform Initiative, Paris (2022-23)> Developed communication strategy, action plan, asset map, branding, advocacy campaign, bilingual content (written, graphic and audio-visual) and digital platform for academic-activist hub focused on social protection World Health Organization, Damascus (2020-22)> Outputs include annual reports, speeches and a detailed thematic COVID report Drosos Foundation, Zurich (2020-22)> Produced a thematic report on transnational activism through the arts;> Produced an evidence-based report on employment in LebanonEducation Above All, Doha (2021)> Produced a comprehensive global media engagement strategy with thematic story pitches for international media outlets UNICEF (2019-20)> Developed RCCE COVID-19 action and immunisation advocacy plan in Lebanon;> Formulated outreach strategy for Child Friendly City initiative in Sharjah, UAEKonrad Adenauer Foundation, Berlin (2019-20)> Authored study on civil society in Syria and book chapter on impact COVID-19 on mediaUN Women, Geneva (2019)> Developed and delivered training modules in mediation and negotiation for the Women’s Advisory Board of the UN Special Envoy to SyriaNorwegian Church Aid, Oslo (2019)> Developed extensive evidence-based communication strategy for global peacebuilding programmeOther clients include UNFPA, ILO, The European Commission, UNHCR, The British Council, International Alert, Danish Refugee Council, LAU, The Syria Report, the Arab Institute for Women, Legal Agenda, World Learning, Internews, Syrian Enterprise & Business Centre, University of Kalamoon, and MBI International.
