ABOUT CRAIG REED
I help people, places and the planet thrive by addressing environmental hazards and improving climate adaptation and resilience.Being raised in a state park in rural Indiana, I understand the connection we have to nature and have deepened my understanding by studying topics like water management, air pollution, and fire ecology. When nature prospers, so do we.I’m a visionary with senior management experience who can build both lofty goals and implement a plan for reaching them. In my most recent leadership role, I expanded our organization\'s work into climate change, building a new collaborative focused on tackling climate issues along California’s border with Mexico, and successfully applied for funding that will allow disadvantaged rural communities along the border to improve their climate resilience while addressing other related needs the community has prioritized. When I’m not busy tackling pollution and climate issues, I enjoy the wilderness through hiking and cycling. I’m currently trekking across the Pacific Crest Trail in sections of 100 miles at a time.I’m passionate about using nature-based solutions and green infrastructure. I’m looking to connect with others working on these issues so we can identify unmet needs and build solutions together. Please reach out to me here or at r•••••••@gmail.com.
