ABOUT REED MERSHON

At heart, I am a problem solver. Growing up I would never have imagined that I could turn my passion for solving problems into a career. When I got to college, computer science and coding were just a screen of green characters on a black background endlessly scrolling. I can still remember my first program — the classic ‘Hello World’ printing onto the screen and thinking, ‘this is cool’. From then on, I was hooked. Combining the freedom to make beautiful and creative things along with the satisfaction of solving a difficult problem continues to draw me in to programming. My skills include quickly picking up new programming languages, problem solving, cloud native development, and micro-service architecture. I have so far learned Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, VueJS, Docker, Kubernetes, HTML, CSS, SQL and Git. With VueJS I was able to pickup and begin developing in an existing project in under 2 weeks.
