If you’re reading this, you might be expecting to skim another dross personal statement about how I’m a ‘storyteller,’ a ‘problem solver,’ or a ‘coalition builder.’ In which case, I’m sorry to disappoint.You might have come here to learn about my achievements, like how I’ve scaled teams, built out lasting positioning strategies, and added measurable ARR to the pipeline.I’d argue these are table stakes, and if that’s all you need, you should hire another one of the countless PMMs out there.Instead, I’d rather tell you about something that truly makes me unique: my character. For the longest time, I thought I was ‘the scientist,’ trying to understand how everything worked. This identity led me through an undergraduate degree in biology and, ultimately, kicked off a decade-long career in digital health.But over the years, I’ve realized I’m also ‘the poet,’ enamored by the beauty of the intangible. Now I see things through new eyes, accessing problems with greater comfort and appreciation for their ambiguity.I’ve spent my lifetime balancing my head and my heart. Now, I do the same thing for the organizations I work for. The scientist in me drives me to measure, to understand, to be fiercely curious.
