Currently the Operations Lead for Community Safety at North Somerset Council, this role is diverse and supports many different sectors in the team, from assisting the CCTV Manager with daily operational running of the Control Room to ensuring processes and policies are correct and up to date.Also one of North Somerset Councils, Duty Emergency Management Officers on an on call basis.Previously:Working at North Somerset Council as the Transformation Officer, responsible for commercial development as well as operational development of our 24/7 365 Emergency Control Room, always looking for new and creative ideas to promote and bring commercial opportunities to the Control Room. Working at North Somerset Council working in partnership with Somerset County Council project managing a home office funded project to tackle violence against women and girls and anti social behaviour.Working at North Somerset Council in the Community Safety Team, utilising tools and powers under the Anti Social Behaviour Act 2014 to deal with and resolve ASB in the community, dealing with Victims, Perpetrators and Hot Spot Locations. Working alongside external and internal agencies is imperative to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.Experience of working in a multi functional Operations Centre for Bristol City Council, maintaining public safety & responding to incidents as needed appropriately and effectively. Enthusiastic in event management and emergency response.I have also built up a wealth of knowledge from my roles outside of my full time role including managing festivals in event control, Working in Production for Block9 at Glastonbury Festival and supporting the silver tactical suite at the BLM marches in Bristol.Associate of the emergency planning society
