Somerset Film has been making films for over twenty years. We are proud of the wide range of films, documentaries and animations we have produced for businesses large and small charities, arts organisations and the public sector. I’m the Producer at Somerset Film and love collaborating with local creatives on our commissions. A big shout out to DPs Justin Kraus, Ronan Morrison, Richard Tomlinson and James Price, Ace Drone pilot James Warren, Animator Pip Harris, Filmmakers Paul Collins and Paris Garland-Green, Editors Eve Doherty and Dan Gale, Digital technologist Daniel Birch, Assistant Producer Laura French and many other talented individuals throughout Somerset. Some recent work:🤗 A film for the charity Ups and Downs South West - using the magic of green screen to create flying super heroes.🧑‍ Filming the inspiring Land Alive Regenerative Farming Conference at The Bath and West in Shepton Mallet Working in collaboration with the National Trust in Swindon to design a series of film skills workshops for their younger members Producing \'Withstanding Change\' for the International National Trusts Organisation, which explores the devastating impact of climate change on buildings in Egypt, Uganda, Ethiopia, Jordan and Zanzibar. Translating location interviews from Swahili, Luganda and Amharic (thank you Eve Doherty!) All five of our ‘Earth in Focus’ films, made by young Somerset filmmakers on our popular ‘Make a Film in a Day’ course, were selected for screening at THE HEAT Film Festival at Harwell Science Campus in Oxfordshire. Our warmest congratulations to them all. Our \'Every Child a Filmmaker\' course, sponsored by INTO Films, bought four young filmmakers together under the tutelage of Brad Crowley, Ruby Downing-Martin and myself. Their brilliant short \'The Madness of Dr Jocelyn Vok\' received a cinema screening in London at the INTO Film Festival.
