About Daniel Hughes
During my career I have worked primarily with nursing homes, assisted living facilities, companies that provide services for the developmentally disabled and human service organization. Experienced with both for-profits and non-profit entities. Performed and supervised HUD, yellowbook and A-133 audits as well as compilation, review and consulting services while in public accounting. I have experience with bond issues and refinancing both as a public accountant and a controller/director of finance. I also have experience in purchases & acquisitions, large specialty distributors and a payroll service company. Over the years I have obtained significant experience in audits of employee benefit plans. I also gained experience with the Uniform Chart of Accounts, applicable to all public and charter schools in the state of Rhode Island, and the related agreed upon procedures during my time in public accounting.
