My main task as a highly qualified onsite piping engineer at Flamanville 3 (largest European construction site for a 3rd generation reactor) is to run mechanical piping and support calculations. My civil and engineering duty is also part of a broader initiative to provide resilient engineering solutions to the construction site under intensive time constraints. This helps overcome blocking points that slow down the progress of the construction work (deviation reports) as well as prevents similar types of delays in the future. The engineering office then submits these reports describing my implemented engineering solutions to better understand the methods required, moving forward.
