ABOUT RECHELLE RUMAWAS
Rechelle is currently pursuing Master of Public Administration at Columbia University in New York, exploring how digital technology and public policy can increase societal welfare. She carries 8+ years of professional experience in public and private sector which sharpens her her policy analysis, advocacy, and strategic communication skills. Before continuing her study, Rechelle worked at GoTo group where, she has tackled policy issues related to social commerce & MSME empowerment, digital financial services, consumer protection & financial literacy. She also led strategic partnerships initiatives with national and regional governments to empower small businesses and increase financial literacy for the public.In the first half of her career, Rechelle worked at the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, where she contributed in the policy analysis of the President\'s priority programmes, government communication crisis handling, and external relations with wide-range of stakeholders and strategic issues. During her tenure, she also built an extensive network of central and subnational government institutions, grass-root communities, non-governmental organizations, and private sector.She earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universitas Indonesia in early 2016, where she was awarded cum laude and the Best Undergraduate Thesis in her major. In 2018, she co-founded Kindred Spirits Indonesia a community to help young people unlock their personal growth. She volunteers at TEDxJakarta bridging conversations of ideas. To maintain her well-being, she like to read books, practice yoga and run.
