ABOUT REBEKAH WHITE

I am a fourth year Marketing and Arts Management student at Miami University Farmer School of Business and College of Creative Arts. In addition to these two areas of study, I am pursuing a minor in Digital Marketing. During my time at Miami, I have had the opportunity to work alongside other business students during the First-Year Integrated Core, a semester-long project consisting of four fundamental business courses, while solving a complex problem for a real client. In courses such as Foundations of Business and Business Communications, I strengthened my professional development and communication skills. In addition to growing interpersonally, I have become proficient in SQL and Python, which have both allowed me to practice analytical and logical thinking skills. Within my Arts Management courses, I have learned practical marketing, engagement, and strategic planning principles that are applicable in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. On campus, I am involved in Women in Business and the Miami University Student Foundation, both of which have provided me ample opportunities to network and form long-lasting relationships. Outside of my time at Miami University, I have worked as a receptionist at Kayne Law Group, a commercial real estate law firm in Columbus. I processed title commitments and invoices with the billing coordinator, scanned incoming mail, and prepared legal documents for overnight delivery. In high school I worked at T.J. Maxx where I gained experience in customer service and problem resolution. During the summer of 2022, I had an arts management and social media marketing internship at Allegro Studios, a private lesson music studio in Hilliard, Ohio. I designed and lead a social media plan, processed payments, and managed multiple teachers’ schedules. I am extending my internship through the Fall 2022 semester and will be teaching virtual piano lessons via Zoom. I am thrilled to see what the future holds for me, and feel confident that the skills I have gained and continue to foster will allow me to thrive in my career. I look forward to the opportunity to implement and grow these skills more during the summer of 2023.
