ABOUT REBEKAH GIBBINS

I have recently completed my master\'s degree with a distinction in Biodiversity, Conservation and Nature Recovery, building on my undergraduate degree in Biology and strengthening my commitment to a career in nature conservation and recovery.Throughout my studies, I have actively contributed to conservation and sustainability initiatives. I worked as part of a student team on two university sustainability projects, including the development of a nature-positive spaces report which directly informed The University of Lincoln\'s Biodiversity Action Plan. These experiences have allowed me to develop skills in collaborative working, ecological reporting and translating research into meaningful change.I am passionate about fieldwork, species monitoring and public engagement. I was a member of The University of Lincoln\'s winning University Mammal Challenge 2025 team where we surveyed mammals on campus and delivered community outreach events. I have also helped plan and deliver a university-wide BioBlitz event across The University of Lincolns Brayford Campus, attracting over 350 bookings from student\'s and members of the public. Beyond my academic work, I am a founder and current secretary of The Lincoln Imps Mammal Group and am a member of CIEEM, The Mammal Society and The Saxilby Nature Project. I have also volunteered with The Mammal Society and The Lincoln Swan Project and currently volunteer with the Scout Association.
