ABOUT REBECCA TAYLOR

I am a Senior Planning Manager at Laxton Properties and a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), with over 11 years of experience delivering high-quality commercial and residential schemes.My career began at Rapleys, before spending eight years at Newmark (formerly Gerald Eve), advising a wide range of clients on complex planning matters. My experience spans all stages of the planning process, from initial feasibility through to consent and delivery, with a strong focus on maximising value, managing stakeholder engagement, and navigating the nuances of London’s planning landscape.I have a strong passion for delivering well-designed, contextually responsive schemes that not only meet commercial objectives but also enhance the built environment and provide tangible gains for the local community. I have recently made the transition from London consultancy to a client-side role at Laxton Properties, based in Berkhamsted. I lead on planning strategy across our development pipeline, ensuring our projects are both ambitious and deliverable. Working on small scale schemes up to 500 dwellings. Laxton Properties are looking for immediate and strategic land opportunities across Herts, Bucks, Beds, and Oxfordshire. If you have any opportunities please do let me know. I also have public speaking experience and have presented to audiences of up to 750 people. I have a strong interest in extending this aspect of my professional work, particularly in forums focused on planning, policy and housing delivery. I am a mentor through the National Women in Planning Team.
