Experience

  1. Speech Language Pathologist

    Speech In The City

Jan 2019 — Present · New York, NY, US

Founder and clinical director of Speech in the City, a pediatric speech, feeding, and AAC practice based in New York City, serving children and families through in-office, home, school-based, and teletherapy models.Clinically, I specialize in early childhood language development, complex speech sound disorders (including motor speech and childhood apraxia of speech), pediatric feeding disorders, tube weaning, and AAC. My feeding work includes supporting children with oral-motor challenges, sensory-based feeding difficulties, limited repertoires, and medically complex histories, with a strong emphasis on safe, responsive, and family-centered feeding approaches. I have a particular interest in tube weaning and helping children transition toward oral intake in a developmentally supportive and emotionally regulated way.My therapy approach is play-based, literacy-rich, and grounded in functional communication, with a strong focus on caregiver coaching and real-life carryover. I’m especially passionate about supporting young children with complex profiles and helping families navigate therapy, medical, and educational systems with clarity and confidence. In addition to my clinical work, I mentor speech-language pathologists both within Speech in the City and externally. This includes clinical supervision, case consultation, AAC and feeding mentorship, and supporting clinicians as they develop confidence working with complex pediatric profiles.Oversee clinical quality assurance, staff training, and compliance across service models, including New York State Early Intervention. I lead multidisciplinary teams, develop internal clinical frameworks, and build systems that allow high-quality, individualized care to scale without losing what makes it thoughtful and effective.I’m deeply invested in clinician mentorship, ethical practice growth, and building sustainable pediatric healthcare models that truly support children, families, and providers.
