About Rebecca Rentea
I serve as the Section Chief of Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction Surgery at Children\'s Mercy in Kansas City, Missouri. Over the years, I have built and directed the Comprehensive Colorectal Center, a multidisciplinary center dedicated to treating children born with congenital colorectal malformations. My medical journey began at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, which paved the way for my pediatric surgery fellowship at Children\'s Kansas City. I completed a pediatric colorectal and pelvic reconstruction surgery fellowship at Nationwide Children\'s Hospital -The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Beyond surgical practice, I am engaged in clinical and translational research. This passion is underscored by my master\'s degree in health outcomes research from Northwestern. My overarching focus remains on pediatric colorectal and pelvic reconstruction surgery, underlined by a strong emphasis on outcomes research.
