In May 2021, Oberon began producing the first-ever renewable DME in the US and operates the only commercial renewable DME production facility globally.

ABOUT REBECCA BOUDREAUX
Trained as a chemist, Rebecca Boudreaux, Ph.D. is President and Chief Executive Officer of Oberon Fuels. Oberon is the first company in the world to commercialize renewable DME as a straightforward way to both slash the CO2 emissions of the huge propane industry, and transport renewable hydrogen more efficiently and cost effectively. In addition to building the world’s first commercial renewable DME production plant, Dr. Boudreaux has driven first commercial sales of propane blended with DME. She has secured partnerships with and/or investments from industry leaders around the world including Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, Ford, Suburban Propane, Lipigas, and DCC.Dr. Boudreaux has performed research at MIT, Princeton University, and National Starch and Chemical. She earned a B.S. in Polymer Science (magna cum laude, University of Southern Mississippi) and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering (University of Massachusetts). Dr. Boudreaux has co-authored seven peer-reviewed publications and is a co-inventor on 13 patents. In 2022, she was named one of the top 10 Industry Innovators by Butane Propane Magazine and named by Hart Energy to the 2024 Class of Influential Women in Energy.Dr. Boudreaux currently serves on the Advanced Biofuels Association\'s Executive Committee and World Liquid Gas Association Industry Council. She is a Board Member for the University of Southern Mississippi\'s Foundation. For a decade, she led the ASTM International DME Taskforce as its Chair and has previously served as a taskforce member with the California Air Resources Board (CARB). In the non-profit world, Dr. Boudreaux served as a Board Member for the University of Southern Mississippi\'s Foundation and Board Chair for Urban Promise International.
