About Rebecca Guillory

I’m an education leader, literacy specialist, and entrepreneur with 15+ years of experience designing instructional systems that make excellent teaching predictable and scalable. In my current role as Managing Director of Curriculum & Instruction at Bloom Academy, I provide principal-level leadership for K–5—directly supervising and coaching teachers, leading observations/O3s, and implementing a Lesson Internalization Protocol and Coach’s Rubric to raise instructional fidelity. I design and deliver targeted PD/PLCs, operationalize MTSS and assessment systems (tiered interventions, assessment calendar, internal data trackers), and lead curriculum adoption, vendor evaluation, and resource strategy anchored in the science of reading and culturally responsive practice. I founded a literacy intervention company called Raising Readers, consulted with large districts to design phonics and reading comprehension interventions (including work with Dr. Carolyn Denton at the Children’s Learning Institute), and support educators to translate classroom expertise into coaching, courses, and contract work. I hold a B.A. from Texas A&M and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston.When not at work, you’ll usually find me flipping through a good book, enjoying brunch on a patio, or spoiling my former street dog, Max Galito.
