ABOUT REBECCA FINKELSTEIN
A Purdue University Public Health senior passionate about the intersection of healthcare, leadership, and data-driven decision-making. My experience in behavioral health, public health research, and leadership-focused coursework has shaped my goal of improving healthcare systems and operations.This past summer, I worked as a Behavior Technician at Sovereign Care Services Pediatric Therapy Center, supporting children through evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis therapy. I collected and analyzed client data to track progress and ensure treatment goals were met. Collaborating with Board Certified Behavior Analysts and families gave me firsthand insight into how compassionate care, communication, and efficient systems work together to create meaningful outcomes.In addition to my clinical experience, I’m currently contributing to a scoping review protocol examining sexual and mental health inequities in immigrant communities, which is set to be published in 2026. Through this research and various academic projects exploring employee engagement, leadership impact, and organizational culture, I’ve developed a deep interest in healthcare administration and the operational side of public health.I aim to pursue a career in Health Administration, combining my background in behavioral health, data, and public health to help build more effective, equitable, and patient-centered healthcare organizations.
