ABOUT REBECCA YU
Rebecca earned her Bachelor\'s degree in Biology from Columbia University, where she discovered her passion for scientific research studying regenerative medicine. Her scientific interest then led her to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where she worked as a researcher in a clinical trial for pancreatic cancer. Witnessing the disparities in medical treatment access, Rebecca was inspired to concentrate in biostatistics to combat these inequities through data. At NYU GPH, she conducted research in the NIH \"All of Us\" project to address cancer disparities across marginalized groups. Outside of her research, Rebecca has served as the President of the Student Governing Council where she inspires students to participate in public health beyond the classroom and reach out to their communities and neighborhoods. With her experiences throughout her education and work, Rebecca is eager to make a difference in the public health industry researching under Dr. Andrew Vickers in health outcomes.
