Experienced Medical Director/Principal Investigator with a demonstrated history of working in pharmaceutical early development, specializing in complex FIH and other phase I trials with NHVs. In-depth knowledge of protocol development, recruitment, and medical safety. Also skilled in Emergency Medicine, EMS, and acupuncture/TCM. Has a passion for teaching, training, and mentoring since serving as director/volunteer trainer of a crisis hotline in 1997. The physician role has provided continued opportunities for this in interns and students from multiple disciplines. Communicating complex medical/scientific topics in an audience-appropriate manner is a skill at which she not only excels, but finds deeply satisfying.Her writing and editing experience dates back to 1994 with her first job preparing academic texts for press, and she has won multiple awards and scholarships for same. She is currently completing the first in a series of fiction novels.Polished public speaker/presenter.When not running pharmaceutical trials, she enjoys drawing, fiber arts, the outdoors, and writing fiction.
