Data Protection Manager at Asda, situated within the Legal & Compliance team. Responsible for leading the Privacy Operations function of the Privacy Team, which includes: • Completing Privacy Risk Assessments and working with the business to deliver and maintain Privacy controls for both customer and colleague data across all areas, in order to ensure continuous Privacy compliance • Working closely with key stakeholders across the business, at all levels, to provide advice and guidance • Managing the delivery of Asda’s Data Subject Rights programme and managing the team responsible for fulfilling DSRs - including Data Subject Access Requests, requests for disclosure from third parties, Privacy complaints - including complex customer and colleague queries • Managing Regulator contact and response - including leading investigations following a regulator complaint and creating regulator responses on behalf of the business • Privacy incident response – including incident management, providing advice, assessing associated risk, creating incident records and maintaining the incident register • Creating Records of Processing, creating Privacy Notices and maintaining and updating Asda’s Privacy records, content and resources • Designing and delivering Privacy training and creating training materials (such as writing e-learning content) for use across the business to delivery effective and efficient training • Driving engagement across the business, identifying key stakeholders and building, developing and maintaining strong relationships with the same, focusing on building a strong culture in which the concept of Privacy by Design is embedded
