Deputise for the Director of Human Resources as required.2. Line manage, appraise and empower the core HR services team3. Own the development, delivery and review of the annual and long-term HR Team priorities and plan. Work with the Director of Human Resources to ensure excellent financial and budgetary management5. Ensure effective planning, organisation and administration of the core HR services6. Ensure continuing compliance with UK Visa & Immigration Agency requirements.7. Work cooperatively and collaboratively with Faculty and Service area managers and the wider University community in the delivery of projects and other development activities8. Keep abreast of legislative changes and development of HR practices which may impact on the University. Advise on and oversee Employee Relations matters in liaison with HR colleagues and managers10. Assist the Director of Human Resources to develop and implement reward strategies and the regular review of systems of job evaluation, pay and benefits11. Assist the Director of Human Resources in co-ordinating and championing organisation wide people and well-being initiatives, ensuring the systems and processes are in place to support the University’s Wellbeing Strategy12. Assist the Director of Human Resources, and deputise where required, in the management of safeguarding matters and related casework13. Represent the University and/or the Director of Human Resources at professional and sectorial meetings with other HEIs or Higher Education Bodies
