Rebecca is a focused, collegiate, and results-driven artistic leader with a multifaceted background in culture, music, and the creative arts. As Principal for Creative Industries and Culture at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, she leads on creative industries, cultural policy, creative partnerships, and strategic programming both across the region and internationally. Her work is rooted in a deep understanding of local authorities and the cultural and creative ecosystem of Greater Manchester and beyond. Rebecca is also known professionally as Mix-Stress, a powerhouse DJ, event curator, producer, and community connector. Her creative career spans performances at iconic venues and festivals including SXSW, The Warehouse Project, Creamfields, Parklife, Printworks London, and Ibiza’s Pikes and 528, alongside collaborations with global brands such as Nike, BBC Radio 1, Apple Music, and Sephora. She’s a regular voice on Gaydio, Crop Radio, and Reform Radio, and has powered major cultural moments including Manchester Pride, London Pride, and the Manchester International Festival. Rebecca brings strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build sustainable partnerships across public and private sectors. She is an innovative and original thinker, with excellent financial management, reporting, and delivery-focused project leadership. Her work bridges strategic policy and grassroots creativity, driven by a passion for connecting communities and creating opportunities through inclusive programming, music, and cultural development.
