ABOUT REBECCA SCHERR
I am a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, where I completed dual degrees in Government & Politics and English. I graduated magna cum laude with memberships in Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi, as well as notations from the Justice & Legal Thought Scholars Program and the Jiménez-Porter Writers’ House. Currently, I work as a Legal Assistant at Kiernan Trebach LLP, where I am aiming to earn valuable experience in the legal field before pursuing a law degree. I am also a creative writer. In 2020, I self-published my first novel, Sitting Pretty, which is available on Amazon and in The Ivy Bookshop. My work has also appeared in Stylus, a literary magazine, and has been recognized by the Jiménez-Porter Literary Prize, the Jack London Foundation, and the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
