ABOUT REBECCA POLHAMUS

I am a professional interior designer with a focus on commercial interiors. In my several years of experience in the industry, I have learned an incredible amount about design, construction and client relationships. I am confident in my abilities to prepare and present graphic presentations, 3D renderings, finish materials and furniture selections. I am skilled in Revit Architecture, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Enscape Rendering, FF & E specification, construction documentation, and construction administration. I enjoy working on all phases of a project to ensure that the design vision is carried through from schematic design to final construction.I first began my professional career in Boston- graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology and working for the corporate interiors firm, Nelson. I eventually decided to make the move to New York City where I settled for five years, while working for Nelson NY and then Gensler. During my time at these firms, I focused on commercial workplace interior projects and acted in the role of Interior Designer, as well as Job Captain. These two roles allowed me to gain experience in all phases of the design process and helped make me a more well rounded designer who understands the constructability and coordination required from initial design development. I have a strong interest in historic interiors and decorative arts. I love traveling as much as possible, sketching what I see, and learning more about design.
